How we do things
Although we tend to use PRINCE2 methodology for controlling larger and more elaborate projects, our preferred method of software development follows the feedback cycle method shown below (Rescue Methodology). The main aspect of this method is the tight feedback that allows the development cycle to take advantage of new information and learning gained as the development process is run.
- Requirements Phase: Gathering Requirements
- Design Phase: Design and Planning
- Development Phase: Coding and Testing
- System Testing: Testing and Integration
- Release to Production: Deployment and Release
The above processes are based on the Rational Unified Process (RUP) method developed by IBM's Rational Software division.
